Statement regarding Revenue audit – Alan Moore

To settle a Revenue audit for 2015-2017 I made a voluntary declaration accepting liability of €35k in relation to an undercharge in income tax and VAT (just under €11k p.a.). Related interest and penalties brought the total charge to €50k.

This represents a small percentage of the total tax (VAT, PAYE/PRSI/USC, income tax, LPT) paid for these periods. The errors arose from a deficiency in the accounting system. We have since upgraded and replaced our accounts system with

Revenue have accepted that the errors were not deliberate. The tax has been paid and Revenue have thanked us for our cooperation.

Over the past 25 years, we have helped thousands of clients to success in their struggles with Revenue, before the Appeal Commissioners and the courts, and we will continue to defend taxpayers who have been overwhelmed by Revenue requirements.
